Our location allows for easy commute opportunities for work or pleasure. Access to 680, 24, 580, and more makes it easy to travel for work or escape to Tahoe, Yosemite, LA, San Francisco, and beyond!
The East Bay is much more affordable that San Francisco or San Jose, yet there are many ways to commute for work.
If you like to drive, our freeways are meticulously maintained and we have HOV and Fast Track lanes. Park and Rides offer buses that allow you to rest and relax and stay off the freeway. BART is accessible in so many locations from Walnut Creek to Lafayette and Dublin. It’s close to making its way down to San Jose, too!

Our sports teams are nationally recognized and offer a sport for every level and ability. Tennis, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, swimming, softball, baseball, track and field are more are well-received in the East Bay. Parents often make watching their children’s game a social part of their lives.
Academics are a huge part of the draw to the East Bay. Our award-winning schools are recognized for their excellence and our students graduate and go on to attend colleges and universities locally as well as nationally and even internationally.

Charm and History
The East Bay is full of charm and history, which residents can enjoy. Our Glass House and Forest Hill Farms, Eugene O’Neill Tao House, Shadelands Ranch Museum are popular exhibitions that tell a tale long before our time.
The Blackhawk Museums host the largest auto display and also a unique children’s learning center full of history.
Danville hosts one of the largest Fourth of July displays in the area, drawing crowds of over 40,000 people from all around.
Lafayette, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Lamorinda and Danville features community faires and events which bring the locals together on a regular basis.
Galleries and theaters are a special part of the East Bay, and we like to celebrate the arts.
Shopping and More Shopping
Walnut Creek boasts a huge Broadway Plaza with boutique and name brand stores, eateries, and outdoor venues. San Ramon is building a new downtown with a theater, restaurant, City Hall, and updated library. Blackhawk offers a gallery of shops and eateries and is home to some of the best music venues during summer.
